Virginia and Recording
Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 12:32PM | If any of you live in the Charlottesville, VA area, I will be playing a solo show opening up for The David Wax Museum at Random Row Books, tonight at 7:30. This will be my first time playing in Charlottesville, a town in which lots of people have told me to play.
Also, we are finally going into the studio this weekend to record album #2!!!!!!!!! We set up shop at Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville NC. Peter James (The Honeycutters) and I will be producing this one with Alex Hornbake (Arizona, Wages) engineering.
We also have some guests coming in to do the things we can't do. Mary Ellen Bush (Menage, The Sireens) will be singing on a new track called "Here I Am" and Nathan Golub (John Howie, Jr. and The Rosewood Bluff) is bringing in his pedal steel from Raleigh, NC for a number of tracks. There may be a little Hammond B-3 organ as well. That topic is still being confirmed.
So we've got 12 new tunes to put to tape and send out into your ears. I'm looking at a fall release for this one.
See you soon and wish us luck!
